Merry Christmas!

Very Merry Christmas wishes, from Gus, Sinatra, and Tiny Apparel! 

Gus is wearing his charcoal cotton suit over a burgundy turtleneck, with a printed gold scarf and horse bit loafers. I had loads of fun decorating the miniature Christmas tree, with glass beads, little brass pendants, and tissue paper poinsettias. 

The Duffle

I finally completed the Burberry inspired duffle coat. It's not an exact scale model, but I think I managed to capture a few of the details from the original. 

Here is Gus, posing on a pile of trunks. 

And here he is with the hood up... and down again. 

Sinatra got a little matching jacket.

Work in Progress

 Here is Gus' First fitting for a Burberry inspired duffle coat.  It's one of the most complicated garments I've tried to make at 1:6 scale and I can see that it needs a few adjustments here and there. As a whole, though, I think it is definitely starting to come together.

  

And just for fun, I found a petite Persian carpet for Gus to rest his little horse-bit loafers on. 

 

Horsing Around

Here is Gus, in an Ermenegildo Zegna Fall-Winter 2018 inspired outfit. I wasn't quite sure, at first, how to make the little baseball hat, but thanks to a wonderful myfroggystuff tutorial, on youtube, I was able to put one together out of paper, and flannel. 

This look seemed perfect for a little equestrian fun with Berry, the Hackney pony. Berry is wearing a surcingle and bridle made out of ribbons, and a little hand-stitched blinker hood.  

Fall Basics

The winter weather is on its way! Its the time of year for cozy sweaters and warm scarves. 

Swimsuits as Street-wear

Today, Gus tried out both his new pairs of swim shorts at Gardener's Supply Co!

Swimsuit Sneak Preview

Preppy in Middlebury

Yesterday, Gus got to go exploring around historic Middlebury, 

with his new gray pants and black clutch.

We stopped by the Dan Freeman's Leatherworks, to see his handcrafted shoes, but they were closed.

I made the zipper on Gus' clutch by stitching on a little piece of silver chain. 

Summer Sandals

Today, Gus had a photo shoot at the waterfront in a new print cotton sports shirt, a pair of gray cotton shorts, a faux leather bag with brass hardware, a hand-stitched straw hat, and a pair of sandals.
