September Editorial

Gus and Lucian are modeling rugged autumn looks for Dollslife Magazine! The September issue is out today! It’s full of beautiful photos, and fun reports about doll-related events on Instagram, and can be read in it's entirety here.

Lucian’s First Editorial

Gus’ cousin, Lucian, is full of excitement this morning, and has been sending him a bunch of enthusiastic and slightly incoherent messages! After a little patient prying, Gus learns that Lucian has been signed on to model alongside him in the upcoming issue of #dollslifemagazine! His cousin has never done an editorial shoot before, and doesn’t know whether to be nervous or thrilled! “Congrats man! You’re gonna be great!” Gus reassures him. “The Dollslife Magazine photo shoots are always a lot of fun!”

Here are Gus and Lucian, headed off to work, on the day of the Dollslife Magazine photo shoot. Their looks are inspired by the comfy, casual, model street-style at fashion weeks.

Getting ready for their editorial photo shoot, Gus is being a big help, making sure Lucian won’t have a shiny nose in any of his pictures! To see there photos, check out the September issue here.

The First Fall Color

The leaves around here are starting to get colorful!! Gus is going for a peaceful meander in his leather jacket, admiring the first hints of Fall. 

Overhauling a Bench

Gus’ cushioned bench is getting overhauled with a brand new scrapbook paper veneer. I think the original white paper covering was starting to look a little tired. I’m loving the new bleached barn wood look! 

Here is Gus, looking yacht-ready and preppy, with his refinished bench. I think a set of cozy Flannel cushions, for fall, would be a nice touch too.

Today is the Kentucky Derby! Gus and his cousin, Lucian are are hatted, gloved, and wearing red roses, like the ones that will be in the winner's garland! Because of the changes in schedule, this racing season, Gus and Lucian are putting a festive Autumn twist on classic Kentucky Derby style! They are still debating their favorite horses. There are so many strong runners in the lineup! Gus and Lucian are completely thrilled to be attending #wowasderbyparty on instagram, created by the very gracious miniature hostess, @happilybarbie. I decided to put a little money on Authentic, and he came in 1st! An incredible race, day, and party! 

Rainy Day Reading

It's a rainy day! Gus wasn't sure if he should be dressing for Summer of Fall, so he dressed for both. He's curled up in his favorite chair, with the latest issue of Doll's life magazine (published on instagram by @adrian.dollslife ), reading about far away lands and fashion designers!
