 A little more casually attired, but still dreaming of the glamour and sparkle of the gala, last weekend!

 

The 2021 Glam Doll Gala

After days of waiting in anticipation and working on custom suits and accessories for the 2nd Annual Glam Doll Gala, the day of the event finally arrived! 

I made Gus and Lucian suits, inspired by these looks from recent Dolce & Gabbana catwalks. Gus and Lucian wore them with paper and wire flower crowns, also incorporating some of the metallic gold botanical trim from Gus' suit. 

Almost ready! Gus is helping Lucian put the finishing touches on his look, for the 2nd annual Spring Glam Doll Gala! Gus still has a little preening left to do, and then they will be all set for the party! I can’t wait!  

“We’re here!!” Gus, his cousin, Lucian, and Sinatra, the beagle, are ready to party at the Gala! They can’t wait to see all the fabulous fashion!

Attending a mini Instagram Doll Wedding

Gus and Lucian are attending Andy and Clark’s #sanfranciscobarbiewedding in warm turtlenecks, because out here, it’s snowing! Gus and Lucian wish the charming and elegant bride and groom at @san_francisco_barbie a lifetime of happiness! Their wedding looks magnificent, and hopefully nobody notices that the boys snuck in some popcorn. You see, sometimes Clark's life starts to resemble a good soap opera, and they want to be prepared, if things get wild!

 

Crafting Floral Headgear

Gus is industriously cutting leaves and flowers to wear in his hair for the upcoming Glam Doll Gala on Friday! Colorful garlands are timeless accessories for special occasions across the globe, and gentlemen everywhere from Polynesia, to the Mediterranean islands, and the Persian Gulf, rock them with their formals. Gus wants to hop on the festive flower crown wagon, and make his own botanical headgear, to match his Alta Sartoria suit!

Rainy Day Tea

It’s a chilly, gray, rainy day; a good day for curling up with hot tea and a friend, as Gus is doing - and for getting some crafting done.

 

Men at Work

Gus and Lucian take us to their job site, for the 60th Anniversary #adriandollslifekenchallenge !! This month’s photo theme celebrates the more than 40 occupations, that Ken has tackled over the past 60 years. He’s been everything from a farmer to an astronaut, and Gus and Lucian are adding to the collective Ken resumé, by putting in their hard earned hours, working for the menswear industry.

A Bespoke Suede Jacket

Gus is wandering through the tailoring studio, and has stopped in front of his dress form.
Gus: “who’s tiny little jacket is that? There is absolutely no way I’m gonna fit in that thing!”               Don’t worry Gus, you don’t have to. 

 The petite faux suede safari jacket is a very special tailor-made request from @carliekarl. Gus’ neighbor, George, is just the right size for it, and she’s agreed to help model it, so Gus is off the hook. 

 

 

 

Happy Easter!

 It’s a lovely sunny day, and Lucian is feeling festive! He’s got begonias on his head, and a beaded Easter bunny on his sweatshirt, that’s albino, just like he is! 😊 Wishing you all a very Happy Easter, and Happy Spring!
