It’s Barbenheimer week! In a nod to everybody heading to the theater to see both films (and extra points if it’s a double feature!), Gus, Lucian, and Bryce have turned out in #barbenheimer inspired looks, for @scarlarydoll’s Pink Carpet party.

Last week brought some of the worst flooding that northern New England had seen since 1927. Now, construction crews throughout the region are working to repair damaged roads, buildings, and infrastructure, and set things to rights. Hopefully the rest of our summer weather is uneventful.

There’s a lot of flooding up here in New England right now. Thankfully, Gus and his friends are high and dry, but the amount of destruction in the surrounding towns is concerning. Hoping everybody stays safe!

Bryce in Overalls

Bryce is out running some last minute errands before the weekend, in a comfy pair of khaki overalls, and an oversized graphic T. 😎

I’m happy to report that the Tiny Apparel overalls pattern (0017) fits Ken dolls with the new, more muscular build! Bryce’s shirt, here, was made with pattern 0021 🧵🪡📍

 

Tile Print Resortwear

Gus is ready to check into a glamorous resort, and start lounging around the pool! 😂🏝🧳🌺

I’ve been seeing the new “Extra Fly” resortwear Ken doll popping up on #dollstagram a lot lately, so you know Gus has to try to style a similar travel-ready cabana set look. 😜 I made his shorts with pattern 0004, his shirt is pattern 0003, and his sandals are made with pattern 0022.

Gus saunters off, showing us the back of his majolica tile print cabana set. I used different sections of a multi-print fabric, for each of the sleeve, back, yoke, and collar pieces, to get a kaleidoscopic effect! 🌀The finished look totally exceeded my expectations! I think this is a really fun way to combine prints! 😃

Happy First Day of June! 😀 Where I live, it’s also the first scorcher of the season, over 90°F, with humid hazy conditions.😅 To stay comfortable, Gus is wearing a matching cotton resort shirt (pattern 0019) and bucket hat (pattern 0004).
