Spring by the Waterfront

Catching some rays on the Burlington lakefront.

Snowing in April

I put together this outfit, last week, when it was still snowing heavily!
Perfect weather for a nice hot cup of tea.

Fringes and Fleece

Gus is rocking a new hair-do, with a super curly fringe.

He also has a new shearling coat, made out of a little cream-colored polar fleece, and some really luxurious cotton flannel from Yankee Pride Quilts, which looks like a fine suede.

Here is the complete new look, with cuffed jeans, a turtleneck sweater and a pair of Mattel sneakers.

A Pony for Gus

I discovered that Traditional sized Breyer horses make the perfect ponies for 12" fashion dolls, like Gus. Now he's taken up a new hobby!

Gus, hanging around the barn, with a 1:6 scale saddle rack that I made out of popsicle sticks. The horseshoe hooks on either end are made from brass wire.

New Fabric

I visited one of my favorite little fabric shops today, and picked out a bunch of new textiles for spring and summer looks. Gus came along, so I could be sure that the cloth would compliment his coloring.

AMI Inspired Jacket

On the left, is a picture of a look from the AMI F/W 18 collection. I saw the jacket, and thought it would be perfect for Gus, and on the right, you can see a picture of my 1:6 scale interpretation.

The jacket in progress, all full of pins.
