Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody!! 😃🎉🍁🍂🎃 Gus and Lucian have dawned their costumes, accessorized with a magnifying glass for Gus, and a faux mustache for Lucian! 🔎👨🏻‍🦳 Time for a little old fashioned black and white photo shoot! 😄📸🎞  

Gus and Lucian are ready to carve some pumpkins, eat some chocolates, and maybe solve a mystery, while they’re at it. 🔎🎃🍫

 I had so much fun putting these looks together! The fashion described in the Sherlock Holmes series is truly wonderful and inspiring, as are the chic little illustrations by Sidney Paget, which accompanied the stories when they were first published. Gus is rocking Holmes’ sporty deerstalker cap, and in the third pic, Lucian pays homage to Dr. Watson’s iconic suit & sneakers moment. The last pic has some of Paget’s illustrations. 😊

Planning a Costume!

Gus is pitching a Halloween costume idea to cousin Lucian.
Gus: “your costume idea last year was a ton of fun, but this year, how ‘bout we swap, and you dress as my sidekick instead.” 😀
Lucian: “fair enough.”👍
Gus: “you’ll have to grow a mustache.” 😌
Lucian: “a what now!? 🤨 Are you out of your mind! There’s no way that’s happening in time for Halloween!” 😳
Gus: “Then you’ll just have to wear one. The book says it’s only a ‘modest mustache.’ You’ll look distinguished!” 😁
Lucian: “oh brother!” 🤦🏼‍♂️
Uh, Gus? What has Lucian gotten himself into? 😂

Gus is looking over the inspiration behind his Halloween costume idea: one of my favorite book series ever. He’s gone and found a page that mentions a purple dressing gown. 😂 Any guesses who Gus and his cousin, Lucian, will be dressing up as? (The answer is in the photo 😉).

Bespoke Suit City

This season, In addition to a few other projects, the Tiny Apparel Bespoke workshop is busy with not one, not two, but four wedding suits!

I always love delving into the world of classic tailoring, and making suits for such meaningful occasions is especially wonderful! Some of the suits are even inspired by clients’ real-life wedding attire. I sincerely hope I can make everything to all the grooms’ satisfaction.

Gus, here, is modeling bespoke braided side-tab trousers from one of the ensembles.

At the Disco

Gus and Lucian are hustling on down, over at The Great Disco Emporium, for @scarlarydoll ‘s #scarlarydiscoparty! They’re not the most graceful boys on the floor, but they sure are moving and grooving!! 😂 Congratulations to the talented @scarlarydoll!! Wishing her a very Happy Birthday!!

A Drive wirth Barry

Gus is in the barn, carefully putting polo wraps on Barry, the Hackney pony, before his workout. Polo wraps are like a cross between a shin guard and an ankle support, and they also can add a stylish splash of color to a horse’s turnout. 

This photo is inspired by @adrian.dollslife ‘s monthly #adriandollslifekenchallenge photo theme. The theme for October is “Everybody needs a Ken in their lives.” I say that “everybody” most certainly includes #breyermodelhorses too.

 Dashing through the woods, in a one-pony-two-wheeled-cart! Gus and his beagle, are enjoying a drive through the foliage, courtesy of Barry the pony. 

 

 

Barry the pony worked hard and was a very good boy, so Gus is bringing him extra peppermints from the candy jar. “Thanks for the drive, little man!”

Leaf Peeping

Gus is leaf peeping around old New England ski towns, with his wiggly buddy, Sinatra. Gus is enjoying the beautiful views, and Sinatra is here for the aromatic woodland.

Crewneck and Turtleneck Sweater Pattern

A new pattern is in the shop! This one has instructions for hand sewing a bulky sweater from a medium or large sized sock. There are so many fabulous sock designs on the market, the possibilities for these sweaters are really endless. They’re a handy way to repurpose lone socks too. Gus is modeling both crewneck and turtleneck designs. Click here to view and purchase the pattern.

 It's here! The new issue of #dollslifemagazine, is published and linked in @adrian.dollslife ‘s bio! Gus is relaxing, this Friday afternoon, in his cozy fisherman’s sweater, perusing his latest copy of #dollslifemagazine.

Gus and Lucian were thrilled to model in an editorial, forecasting fall menswear styles, and I also had the wonderful honor of interviewing @pnw.doll about a very adorable little personality on his account!!
